True adventure begins on this incredible whitewater rafting experience as the canyon narrows and the rock walls tower 1000 feet above the Arkansas River. The spectacular scenery of the Royal Gorge, our intentional ministry focus, and the continuous whitewater adventure combine to create an experience that will not soon be forgotten.

Our Full-Day Royal Gorge trip starts with an excellent morning introduction in lower Bighorn Sheep Canyon and breaks for lunch before plunging into the exciting, ever-steepening Royal Gorge. It is the perfect blend of beautiful scenery and high-adventure, and is the perfect way to experience the best the Arkansas River has to offer.

  • Includes delicious river-side lunch
  • The perfect trip for “River Rats”
  • Full-day trips include FREE wetsuit rental

Like all our trips, the purpose of this trip is much more than just whitewater rafting. Our guides seek opportunities to use even a single day on the river to share about the love and grace that is found in Jesus Christ. Whether you’re already a Christ-follower or if you’ve never come to know Him we would love to have the opportunity to share about what He’s done in our lives and encourage you to take the next step in faith – whether that be increasing in love for Him or beginning a lifelong relationship with Jesus. We seek to do this in a non-threatening, conversational way using stories, sharing spiritual analogies, and taking time to pray for you and your specific needs. To learn more about how and why we do this, see About Us and Why Journey Quest?

The Royal Gorge is a serious section of river and is not suitable for beginners. The minimum age is 15 at low or moderate flows, 18 at high flows. Previous class III or higher paddling experience and strong swimming ability are recommended for all guests. For the safety of our guides and guests, we cannot take guests who are over 250lbs, individuals with a history of heart problems, or those who are poor swimmers or unable to swim.
